THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO VERBS CONJUGATION IN ARABIC Developing a thorough understanding of Arabic verbs is essential for constructing precise and accurate Arabic statements. In this article, I will provide you with a comprehensive guide to expedite your verb conjugation in Arabic . A verbal sentence ( جُمْلَةٌ فِعْلِيَّةٌ) as I explained to you in a previous post is a sentence which begins with a verb. These Arabic verbs are divided into three and they are: الْفِعْلُ الْمَاضِي الْفِعْل الْمُضَارِعُ الْفِعْلُ الْأَمْرُ The first, which is the basic, is called الْفِعْلُ الْمَاضِي.  مَاضِي means past. How to learn the Quran and teach it effectively to the kids and others

Learning the Qur’an and teaching it to others (the kids inclusive) is highly encouraged by the Prophet as stated in this hadith: ‏ “‏ خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ ‏”‏‏.‏ Narrated ‘Uthman:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”Sahih al-Bukhari 5027In-book reference: Book 66, Hadith 49 Based on my experience with my kids, I can proffer the following tips for learning the Qur’an and teaching others: Take It Is An Act of Worship Whether you learn the Qur’an online yourself or offline, it’s an act of worship. There are several ahadith on the benefits of learning the Quran. One of them is this: Abu Umamah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, “Read the Qur’an, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection.”[Muslim]. As regards teaching the kids too, it’s an emulation of the prophet and thus an act of worship as it was narrated Said bin Jubair: Those Suras which you people call the Mufassal, are the Muhkam. And Ibn ‘Abbas said, “Allah’s Apostle died when I was a boy of ten years, and I had learnt the Muhkam (of the Qur’an).” ( Sahih Bukhari bk 66, hadith 58 Al-Mufassal are defined as the short soorahs of the Qur’aan which have many breaks between them,...

Hence this will enhance the required concentration on Salah. Period of Revelation It’s revealed from authentic narrations that it was the first complete Surah which was revealed to Muhammad (Allah’s peace be upon him).  The features of the chapter as well confirms that it’s a Meccan Surah. Virtues and names of Surah al-fatiah From the names of this chapter are,: Al-Fatihah means the Opener (from the verb فتح – to open) because (1) it is the first chapter of the Qur’an and (2) it’s the Surah with which prayers are begun. It is also called, Umm Al-Kitab (the Mother of the Book), according to the majority of the scholars. Online Qur’an Reading and Meaning

Learn Surah al-Humazah with Tajweed Online Qur’an reading is a modern way of worship which deploys the power of information technology. A Muslim reads and learns the Qur’an to strengthen his bond with his creator from the Aqeedah aspect of it. He reforms his character with the ethical part, while the legal content of the Qur’an teaches the conditions for the acceptance and nullification of daily and occasional activities such as trade, marriage, jihad e.t.c Suratul Humazah (Quran 104) is one of those chapters that deal with the reformation of the human character. I have chosen to write a short explanation of this chapter from the grammatical aspect because of the social stratification that is evident in every society and because it is one of the mufassal. Mufassal are the short chapters of the Qur’an, so it’s a chapter of the Qur’an that you can quickly spell, memorize and easily learn its reading with the tajweed in Shaa Allaah. In case you are wondering what tajweed means, it could simply be defined as reading the Qur’an with the articulation of each Arabic sound correctly & distinctly. It’s also the pronunciation of each consonant, vowel, word and sentence according to the standard of Arabic spoken by the Prophet’s generation. So it’s a requirement for a valid Qur’an recitation. Now back to the chapter under discussion, it goes thus: A study...

The Qur’anic Orthography

The Qur’anic orthography refers to the spellings, signs, and symbols used in the Quran but not in normal Arabic writing. The Elements of a Typical Qur’anic Page الرَّسْمُ العُثْمَانِيُّ (the Uthmanic text/codex) : This is the consonantry text without the short vowels nor dots that was prepared under the supervision of Uthman (R.A).  For example, the word خَلَقَ)- khalaqo)  is written as ﺣﻠٯ.  But the Arab Muslims were able to read these sticks because they actually knew the Qu’ran by heart and only used the written text as support. Note that الرَّسْمُ العُثْمَانِيُّ does not refer to a style of writing, but refers to the text as was prepared by the calligraphers of Uthmaan (R.A). Therefore, a text with a spelling like اﻟﺴﻤٰﻮٰﺕ, مائة conforms to الرَّسْمُ العُثْمَانِيُّ, while one with, مئة  السَّمَاوَات does not.  Scholars have permitted that one or two lines of a Qur’anic quotation in an article may be written in the normal Arabic script but not a whole chapter because the Arabic spelling varies from place to place. 2. الإِعْجَام: This is the addition of dots to the previously undotted letters for proper identification. This was necessitated by the entrance of the non-Arabs into Islam. A dotted letter such as خ ,ذ is called حَرْفٌ مُعْجَمٌ  while a dotless one such as ح, د is حَرْفٌ غَيْرُ مُعْجَمٍ 3. الضَّبْط: This refers to the  vowel...

The Arabic Parts of Speech

The Arabic parts of speech are three in number: Noun ( ٌاِسْم) Verb (ٌفِعْل) and Particle (ٌحَرْف) The pronouns, the relative pronouns, and the demonstrative pronouns are all known as ٌاِسْم in the Arabic language. A typical Arabic sentence may be formed by one or two or the three elements together. For example, the word قُمْ which means “stand up” (you) is a verb (ٌفِعْل) which singly forms an imperative sentence. In another example, الْمُدَرِّسُ جَالِسٌ which means the teacher is sitting) is a sentence formed from two words. Both the first and second words are nouns. The first word is called مُبْتَدَأ (subject) while the second word (the news) is called خَبَرٌ and they both formed a nominal sentence (جُمْلَةٌ اسْمِيَّةٌ ) In this third example: َكَتَبَ مُحَمَّدٌ الْقِصَّة (Muhammad wrote a story) the first word (كَتَبَ) is a verb while the second (مُحَمَّدٌ) is a noun and the third ( القَّصَّةُ) is also a noun. This type of sentence is called a verbal sentence ( جُمْلَةٌ فِعْلِيَّةٌ): the actor (فَاعِلٌ) is Muhammad while the object (مَفْعُول بِه) is the story. Here are more...
